…I started the beginning of September in Palm Springs at the first stage of LPGA Qualifying school. From there it was a week back at Firekeeper and then another week on the road in Garden City, Kansas for two Symetra Tour events. While I love helping any player improve at this great game, there is something very special about working with players that are trying to make a living at it. The grind and pressure can be overwhelming at times but the rewards are unbelievable, watching someone fulfill a life-long dream is satisfaction that words cannot express.
Wichanee (Jan) Meechai is a very talented player. In fact, in her last five events she has finished 4th, 4th, 2nd, 6th and 2nd on the Symetra Tour. By doing so she has clinched a spot in the top 10 on the Symetra Tour and guaranteed herself an LPGA card for next year. So what does she do when she gets a week off? She tries to get better of course. Some players are scared of change, they worry that they might struggle for a while. Other players like Jan only focus on improving and will do anything to keep getting better.
